The Heart Behind Fancci
The Heart Behind Fancci Boutique
I am Theresa Brown, also known as Fancci B, founder of Fancci Boutique. My journey started in Portsmouth, Virginia, with pink walls, thrifted treasures, and a desire to make interiors feel soulful, beautiful, and within reach.
Where The Vision Started
In my hometown of Portsmouth, Virginia, I spent my childhood watching home shows, rearranging my bedroom, and painting it pink more than once. I did not have a design degree or a studio, just a feeling that spaces could change how people see themselves and what they believe is possible. That feeling became the seed for Fancci Boutique.
From Portsmouth To Atlanta, Virginia Beach, And Houston
My first step into the furniture world was in Atlanta, Georgia, where I worked in a furniture store and learned how to listen to what clients really needed in their homes. I later returned to Virginia and opened my own boutique in Virginia Beach. Each chapter, from Portsmouth to Atlanta to Virginia Beach, shaped my eye for sourcing, my love of the hunt, and my belief that Black women belong in every room of the design and furniture industry. Today I am building Fancci Boutique from Houston, Texas, serving clients across the United States.
Why I Built Fancci Boutique
Fancci Boutique began with consignment and resale, but it quickly grew into something more. I realized my gift was not just styling a room, it was finding the right pieces, negotiating with vendors, walking markets, and connecting clients to furniture that felt collected and intentional. I chose to focus on furniture and decor sourcing, not full interior design services, so designers, store owners, and homeowners can bring their own vision or design teams and trust Fancci to handle the product side with care.
How Fancci Works Today
Today Fancci Boutique operates as a furniture sourcing studio for interior designers, boutique hotels and lounges, short term rentals, furniture stores, and style driven homes. Many pieces are sourced from factory partners in Turkey, alongside US wholesale vendors and select local and vintage finds. Every project is approached with clarity around budget, timeline, and logistics, so clients know what to expect from inquiry to delivery.
House10, The Heart Of The Work
House10 is the social impact arm of Fancci Boutique, created in honor of my brother Lamont Brown, whose life and legacy insipired me to a commitment to furnish ten homes for families in need. It is rooted in the belief that a beautiful, functional home can bring comfort, dignity, and inspiration. As Fancci grows, House10 stays at the center, reminding me that luxury can also be a form of care and community support.
